When it’s bitterly cold out what do you about your plumbing

Cold weather is never fun to endure face to face, literally. When dealing with cold weather you have to be prepared for the worse. If your going out be sure to take extra warm clothes in your vehicle and dress extremely warmer then usual. When starting your car wait a couple minutes before driving. Give your engine some time to warm up.

Plumbing pipes and drain lines break all year round and even more so in the winter. With water running through drain pipes it’s easy to spring a leak or crack with cold temperatures. Make sure your pipes are insulated well so they don’t freeze. When water lines or drain lines get solid with ice call a plumber to help you. If you handle the situation wrong you could possibly break and damage more of your plumbing system.
Our company services the entire Minneapolis – St. Paul Area Including the Twin Cities Metro Area. Today it the first really cold day of the year and were all over helping clients with frozen pipes.
Be careful and stay in if you can in this dangerously cold weather. Car pooling is the best in this weather. Let’s keep people off the roads and stay safe in their homes.
Always feel free to send us feedback. We learn by hearing from you. If you’ve ever experienced a frozen water or drain line write about your situation. We’d enjoy hearing from you.
